The BSS Tour Bydgoszcz: F&A with no secrets is already the fourth meeting organized as part of the nationwide conference series organized by the Pro Progressio Foundation. The subject of the event will be broadly focused on finance services and processes related to them. It is this area of the business world that is one of the main groups of services that are most often subject to outsourcing or centralization within shared service centers.

During the conference there will be presented practical examples of process automation as well as the most important challenges faced by Polish and European F&A companies. The BSS Tour Bydgoszcz aims to discover, describe and bring up the area of issues related to finance and accounting processes. Starting from the current market potential of F&A in Poland and around the world, through a practical approach to process automation and robotic workshops, ending with a comparison of the recruitment needs of the finance and accounting world and the existing educational offer. The discussion panels and their issues will lead the participants through a number of issues, giving a comprehensive picture of the modern world of F&A.

The uniqueness of Bydgoszcz investment offer is undoubtedly strong IT specialization, supported by successes on an international scale. At the same time, however, the city is developing its potential in the area of finance and accounting services. These assets of Bydgoszcz make the city an ideal place for meeting experts and market leaders in modern business services during the autumn series of The BSS Tour: Poland.
The city of Bydgoszcz is the official City Partner of the conference. The Strategic Partner is the Bydgoszcz Regional Development Agency.   • Mikołaj Pluciński joined TMF Poland in 2000, opening the office in Katowice. At present, he is Managing Director. In 1997, he graduated from Silesian International Business School. In 1999, Mastére spécialisé Banque et Ingénierie Financiére was conferred on him by Toulouse Business School. Mikołaj gained his vast professional experience in the financial department of Unilever and at Ernst & Young, where he worked as a consultant to the biggest, global companies. Since 2018, he has been a designated honorary consul of Grand Duchy of Luxembourg in Katowice.

Monika Nowecka has significant expertise and practical knowledge in Polish and international accounting standards. She is a lecturer at trainings and author of various publications on accounting.   • A graduate of the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań in the field of law and post-graduate studies in Programming regional development and project management. She holds the title of a legal adviser. From 2000, she has been involved in investor service in Bydgoszcz. In the years 2007 - 2013 she was the Coordinator of the Investor and Entrepreneur Support Team in the office of the City of Bydgoszcz. As part of the conducted projects, she coordinated work related to the launch of a special economic zone in Bydgoszcz, and successfully conducted negotiations with domestic and international entities, resulting in the implementation of investments in Bydgoszcz. In November 2013, she was entrusted with the task of establishing the Bydgoszcz Regional Development Agency, responsible for broadly understood economic promotion of Bydgoszcz, cooperation with entrepreneurs and providing services for new investment projects. Currently, she is acts as the President of the Management Board of the Bydgoszcz Regional Development Agency.
  • Jakub Bejnarowicz

  • He is responsible for creating and executing CIMA’s development strategy and carrying out educational activities in the field of management accounting in the region. He supports recruitment and training strategies of employers hiring management accounting professionals and puts into effect plans for continuous professional development of CGMAs (Chartered Global Management Accountants), finance professionals and future business leaders.   • His main point of interest is public management with special focus on local and metropolitan governance, as well as delivering public services. His PhD thesis Metropolitan areas in Western Europe based on the example of Greater London was awarded by one of the most influential scientific journal Self-government in 2012. During professional career he has gained the positions of adviser to the Minister of Administration and Digitalization, Ministry of the Interior, and expert in OECD.

He started his career in Deloitte where he gained a broad experience in accounting, financial audit and financial management working with number of international and Polish public companies from manufacturing, construction and retail sectors.

  • Pawel has over 20 years of experience on both the business and consulting side. He is an expert in the area of Financial Management. Since 2011, he has been associated with the Management Consulting department at KPMG Advisory - one of the leading consulting companies. Pawel manages a team dedicated to cooperate with enterprises in optimizing the processes of support functions, including the creation and development of Shared Service and Outsourcing Centres. He participates in projects carried out for Polish and foreign entities. Before starting work at KPMG, Paweł managed financial teams in companies from the FMCG sector as well as pharmaceutical and medical devices.

  • Marta is the Head of Shared Services Centre for Publicis Groupe. She is responsible for Finance, HR, Legal and IT services provided to CEE, Baltic and Nordic regions. Marta has spent six years as the Director of the European Finance Centre, building the JLL Shared Services Operation for the EMEA region. Before that, she has held positions of CFO and Deputy Director Finance and Administration at ING Lease both in Poland and Germany. She served six years on the board of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) and was also a member of its Audit Committee and Finance and Planning Committee. Marta has a degree from Warsaw School of Economics and an MBA from the University of Calgary. She is an ACCA member since 2002. She was a member of the first ACCA Poland committee in 2006, and has also been part of our International Assembly. Currently she is a member of the ACCA Global Council.

  • Sean is responsible for training across EMEA. He has over 10 years Financial Services experience with more than 6 years of those in Automation. Most recently, Sean was a Lead RPA Developer and Product owner in his previous role at American Express. Before his years in RPA he used to be a UAT Lead Tester and used to work in the financial services regulatory space.

  • He leads the technical delivery functions to help clients and partners utilise and scale Automation Anywhere RPA and Cognitive software. This involves Customer Success, Partner Enablement, Velocity planning, training and support. Prior to that role Paul built and created the EMEA automation service line at Information Services Group. The role consisted of advising clients on automation strategy as well as ensuring world class delivery through hands on implementation. Paul was one of the early adopters of RPA whilst at the Xchanging group and masterminded their successful accredited RPA deployment.
